Fall first.

“To me, life without veal stock, pork fat, sausage, organ meat, demi-glace, or even stinky cheese is a life not worth living.”
― Anthony BourdainKitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly

Thoughts on dinner tonight:

I'm keeping it simple and humble. Today is the first really "Fall" kind of day we've had. Dreary, rainy, and cold. So I thought I'd make one of my favorite cold weather meals with a very slight twist. Vegetable Beef Soup, but instead of corn bread I'm making fried biscuits. Like I said, simple and humble, but in my experience most of the best and most satisfying meals have been created by simple humble people when times were hard and there wasn't much to really work with. So you won't hear any complaints about this sort of dish from me. So long as you exclude the fact that it isn't ready yet.

I love to cook. Plain and simple. I enjoy making delicious food for myself and the people I care about. So heads up, in the future,If I offer you a place at my table, take it, or have a damn good reason why you can't.

OKAY!

So, here's the part where I tell you about things you should check out...Like Allstate for you auto, home owners and life insurance. Yep, that's right, the good hands people offer life insurance. Bet you didn't know that.

FREAKIN ROCK. You should bank here. They're everywhere so they're super convenient and the customer service is out standing!

This video is a shining example of why you should visit my crew for all your inking and piercing needs. Tattoo and piercing ARTISTS should care about their clients and their work. Nuf said.

Check this blog out if your into food/cooking and the sort. My sis is way more active on here than I am but unfortunately, there are even fewer people reading her page regularly than there are reading mine. Which is sad. Especially sad since the whole idea behind mine is self promotion, and apparently I suck at it.

It's Been WAAAAYY TOO LONG!!!

Listen and read: http://grooveshark.com/s/The+End/1N3XEI?src=5

So, I admit, I haven't kept up with this nearly as much as I've intended too. In fact, I intended write a page or so each week, and in reality I've written NOTHING in over a year. Okay, so sue me. It's not like I have much of a following and those of you who are subscribed are on my Facebook ( http://www.facebook.com/rro.rabbit ) any way.

You liked that didn't you, no gimmicks, just straight to the chase, Shameless Self Promotion at it' finest ladies and gentlemen. But since you mentioned gimmicks and Shameless Self Promotion, go buy some insurance!!! That's right, I'm a licensed P&C (That's Property and Casualty for those who don't know) Agent and I work at Allstate.

A lot has happened in the last year, I moved across the county, started waiting tables again, made a contact out of one of my regulars, which later turned into a a decent job (as I mentioned I sell insurance for Allstate now), I've been living with my girlfriends parents since this past spring, not an ideal situation, but if it weren't for them I don't know what I would have done over the summer. Oh, yeah, girlfriend, right, Cayla, remember her from my last entry? Well, that's working out incredibly well. Her family likes me, and I don't just mean her immediate family, no. Her Aunts, an Uncle, Both of her Grandmothers, her Grandpa (Pap Gibby, that guy is awesome and I can't wait to go hang out with him again). Yeah, I haven't met a family member that was anything other than delightful. What's more impressive is this; My mom likes Cayla. Mom has pretty much hated (openly or otherwise) any girl I've ever been with..EVER. But she actually talks to Cayla. They make plans about things, like mom is coming to visit this Saturday, I had nothing to do with that, it was all those two.

I MISS MY DOG...okay, so Scout technically belongs to my mom, but that's fine print. Isn't he cute?!?!

Also, check this guy out:

My cousin Bo. If you like what he does, then like/share/add to your hearts content. If not, then oh well, you're the one with lame taste not me.

How about a shot out for the Neighborhood Crew? I think so. You know, I really can't wait to get some more ink done. Thanksgiving can't come soon enough. Good food, I get to see my family, and if at all possible I'm getting my leg worked on. Yep. that's a bet.
Love these guys. Seriously. Great artists and great people.

CRAPTASTIC

OH MY! VIBRANT COLORS! IT'S ALMOST LIKE THE GUY THAT FIXED IT KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING!!!

So, Hookah bars out here pretty much suck, so I'm thinking I'm going to get my own hookah and smoke it out on the back deck. Seriously, like $12 a person is WAAAY too steep, and the atmosphere in the places is lame. I seriously miss Cafe 360. Good food, great prices, good service if you know Debbie. That woman rocks and will be receiving a disproportionately large tip the next time I go there...

So, I think I'm done for the moment. Share my blog, spread my mayhem. Thanks for reading guys. I'll catch you on the flip. I know you're gonna miss me. So I'll leave you with this:

Goodnight Dr. Death Defying

Okay, so it's been a good minute since I've written anything on here, but if you're on my Facebook you're probably caught up. I'm kind of on a F*(% yall kick and was going to clean out my friends list (630+) but then I thought about it and decided that I was going to market to it instead...*Shameless Self Promotion* Yep, I'm still
                                                                         Love
all about it. So, this is the part in the blog where I post links to some stuff, I know how much you all enjoy this. Don't worry though, I'll have some mildly interesting personal details to follow just in case you actually want to hear something about me. Yeah, I try to keep it balanced because that's what's up. Alrighty, now go check this stuff out and don't be shy about giving me some feed back.
                                                                       Cayla.

Coolest dog EVER.

This girl makes me a better me. Just saying. So, now on to the "Me" stuff that may or may not interest you, but fuck it. It's my blog and no one is forcing you to read it.

So, I took my first over the road bus ride last week. 18 hours on a bus to get from Louisvill, Ky to Woodbridge, VA...I'm here to tell you that buses SUCK, but it was totally worth it because I got to spend  5, yes 5 whole days with her (See above image). Yes ladies and gentlemen, that's the love of my life, Cayla. Just to give you a quick run down on why I can say that and not fall into the mildly retarded puppy love category: We've actually known each other since like 02 or 03, it was my sophomore year. And yes, I know, knowing someone on line and in person are two different things but that's not applicable in this case. This girl has been there for me through thick and thin. She has been my best, closest, and most trusted friend, and now we're dating. So it's kinda of a package deal. Yes, my best friend doubles as my hot girlfriend. I can't imagine a better combination unless she can figure out a way to have fresh bacon on hand 24/7.

So, the trip was fun, I met some of her friends, cooked breakfast for her, we played house, it was nice.  So nice in fact that I can hardly wait to get my ass out to VA permanently so we don't just have to "Play" house. But don't worry kids, I'll still keep this up for your entertainment.

So, yeah. She makes me more happy than I've ever been. She motivates me to be the best person that I can possibly be. I'm even going to learn how to make Crab Rangoon FROM SCRATCH so that we can enjoy it together...Yeah, I like to cook by the way...I just don't normally learn new things for other people. I'm not going to lie though, I love me some Crab Rangoon too, but I wouldn't have bothered to learn to make it for myself.

Okay, I'm sure you're tired of hearing about that for now.

I got a new job as a dispatcher at Checker Cab of Southern Indiana. If you're in the Louisville area and need a ride, give us a call at 812-945-6666. The job is pretty sweet, even though the pay sucks. But seriously, I sit around for 12 hours watching cable tv, playing on the internet, and taking calls then telling cabbies where to drive. At the end of the night I take some money and fill out a tiny bit of paper work. Done-ski.

So, I could keep rambling on about nothing at this point, but I rather like to keep this as interesting as possible. SO I'll close with this.

Keep you boots tight, keep your gun close, and die with your mask on if you've got to.

I mean...REALLY?!?!

So this should get you laughing. I got up early this afternoon...shut up, I know there's nothing early about the afternoon but still. I had missed calls, and inbox messages. Basically getting my ass ripped because a relationship hadn't worked out and I'm starting to move on with life. I'm not going to go into detail because I'm afraid that would take away from my over all post. I'll say this though, some really terrible things were said to me, about me, whatever. The point is, it was upsetting and now, they're acting like it never happened and everything is all right. Well guess what, that's not how life works.

Okay, so, that's settling down and I'm getting my head back on, trying to figure out what to think about it, and BAM out of left field, I start getting hit on by a gay dude. For the record. I'm straight as a line, and this happens A LOT. I have nothing against gays. I just don't like being hit on by them, it's uncomfortable. Right? Right.

Man. I really have to get out to Your Neighborhood Tattoo Parlor soon. I've sort of been slacking off on my minion duties...eh, at least I'm advertising right? Duties, hah. I said that like it's a chore. They're more like percs really...I kinda think that Heather's pissed at me...and I miss Louie....Also, I'm fairly sure that Heather won't read this, so no worries there. lol
Canada calling

Here goes nothing.

So, if you read the description, you basically have the idea. I don't really have any idea of what direction I may go with this. I'm kind of random, so anything could happen. Most likely I'll rant a bit, post some links to things that I like, and tell you to go spend your money where my friends work. Like at Your Neighborhood Tattoo Parlor, located in Sellerburg, IN. You kind find them on www.facebook.com, and while you're their, check out my page as well: www.facebook.com/rro.rabbit.

So, a little about my night:

I've spent most of it here at home watching tv and playing around on the internet. I've been talking to this really chill girl that I recently met, Shannon, you can check her blog out at http://betaxi0606.blogspot.com/
We're supposed to meet up this weekend to check out the 21c Art Gallery in Louisville, KY and stopping by Cafe' 360 afterwards, and I'm really looking forward to it.

So, I've been thinking seriously about trying to make a web show with local tattoo artists. Like me, going around interviewing them concerning new topics on tattoos/tattooing. Different methods, after care, preferred brands of equipment, and even some personal stuff down the road after we've gotten to know each other, like why and how they got into tattooing. I'm really interested in the tattoo sub-culture, and I don't know, I think it would be something fun to do that I could be proud of.

On that note, a project I may be starting sooner is a 1 week video documentary of my life. I posted a status on facebook earlier that stated I would make said documentary if that status received 100 "likes". I'm probably going to do it either way. More on that will come as it progresses.

So, Shannon, if you read this, I just want you to know that I honestly feel like I need to step up my game just to be on your level. Don't trip though, that's a good thing. I've needed a good kick in the rear end for a while now. So, I guess thanks, for real. Even if it means Heather and Louie get to ride me for geeking out over a girl. I don't really care.

Well, the kids are about to start getting up for schoool soon, so I'm going to bounce and get ready for all that jazz.

Peace out for now people. Just know I appreciate all of you that took the time to read this much.
